Breaking the routine
Our homework
this week is to either travel somewhere new or to take different route to
school/ home.
Every Wednesday
my sister and I attend a boxing lesson in the evening; and for a change instead
of my sister meeting me, I decided to meet her in her school Temasek polytechnic
instead.
Firstly, I had
to make my way to bedok. So I took the train. The journey was quite pleasant as
it wasn’t the peak hour. After a few stops, there were three policemen who
boarded the train. For some reason, everything I see policemen in public I think
something is about to go down. So I got a little tensed. But eventually, they
left and they actually seemed friendly.
When I reached
bedok, I quickly got on to the bus 69 which lead straight to Temasek polytechnic.
When I was in the bus the first thing I nothing was, everyone being stuck to
their phone. To be honest, I am exactly the same a times. Just when the bus
stopped at the first bus stop, I noticed a girl wearing a short jeans shorts. Similarly
everywhere I looked had the same thing. It was rather disturbing to me as it
was quite revealing.
While traveling
in the bus, I passed the Bethesda bedok-tampines church. As a catholic,
whenever I pass a church I make a sign of cross; so when I did it, I had looks
being exchanged. It didn’t bother me much. After one stop, I saw the bedok reservoir.
It wasn’t so empty, I was surprised s I thought there will grandparents exercising
or relax but no one was. If I had nothing to do I would hang out at the park
rather than staying at home and watching television.
I finally
arrived at the TP bus Stop. I was surprised by the size of the school, it was
huge. I thought should go in and meet my sister near her class. I turned to my
left and there I met him, my worst enemy, STAIRS. I hadn’t even climbed half
the steps and I already felt like the stairs were mocking me when I was losing my
breath. But I was thankful I didn’t pass out halfway.
